Board of Fire Commissioners

Kevin Hulett, Chairman

Kevind Hulett has been a Fire Commissioner at Stanford Heights Fire District for 13 years and currently serves as Chairman. He has been active in the fire service for over 30 years. Kevin works as a Building Construction Program Manager for New York State at the Empire State Plaza. Kevin loves to spend his time golfing, riding his motorcycle, and fishing.

Bob Winston, Commissioner

Bob Winston has been a Fire Commissioner and Safety Officer at Stanford Heights Fire Department for 17 years. With 38 years of experience in the fire service, Bob has a wealth of technical knowledge and expertise . He is a Territory Manager for Hillman Group based out of Cincinnati, Ohio and previously ran his own hardware store. While not working or helping out at the Department, Bob spends his time doing what he loves most: wood working, boating, fishing, and visiting the beach.

Gary Boomhower, Commissioner

Garry Boomhower has been a Fire Commissioner at Stanford Heights Fire District for 8 years and has been an active member on the department side for over 50 years. As one of the longest serving members of the department Gary’s knowledge and expertise of emergency services operations is invaluable. Garry is a support staff member for the New Comer Funeral Home. He spends his free time camping with his family.

William Rother, Commissioner

William Rother has been a Fire Commissioner at Stanford Heights Fire District for 38 years and has been in the fire service for 47 years. Bill works as a painter for Glen Eddy Retirement Community and loves to spend his time gardening.

 Paul Avery, Commissioner

Paul Avery has been a Fire Commissioner at Stanford Heights Fire District for 6 years. He has over 15 years of experience and training in the fire service. Before retiring as an interior firefighter Paul previously held the rank of Captain and was consistently one of the department’s top responders. Paul is happily retired and spends his time enjoying football and baseball games.
