At approximately 7:30 pm on Friday May 2 the Stanford Heights FAST team was activated for a structure fire on Fermac St. in the Village of Colonie. Upon the arrival of Colonie Village’s first unit a fire condition in the attic was confirmed and a signal 30 working fire was declared. The FAST team arrived and made quick work laddering the structure and assessing for any major hazards. The attack crews made quick work of the fire whereupon the FAST team was dissolved and utilized for overhaul. Stanford Heights returned to service in under two hours.
