Stanford Heights Flooded by Multiple Calls

On Wednesday July, 2 several severe thunder storms left areas of Stanford Heights inundated by flash flooding. During roughly a two hour time frame following the storms, members of the Stanford Heights Fire Department responded to approximately 20 calls including 1 vehicle rescue, a gas fed brush fire and numerous water emergencies. Fire Police also ensured no motorists attempted to pass through hazardous flood waters by providing road blocks at several locations including the Lisha Kill.
